About Cirquenastics
Cirquenastics is a high-performance training method built for circus artists, performers, and athletes who want to get audition-ready. Created by a Cirque du Soleil artist, it blends elite conditioning with the real demands of casting evaluations, strength tests, and stage performance. With a focus on body control, strength, and progressive overload, Cirquenastics isn’t just about looking strong — it’s about being ready to perform strong. Why I Created Cirquenastics
In 2012, I performed as a synchronised swimmer in my first show in Texas after sending in a simple video audition. That experience opened the door to the circus world — and I fell in love with it.
Soon after, I auditioned for Le Rêve when they came to Texas. It was my first real audition: tough physical tests, dance, and more. I didn’t pass. But I knew from that moment — I wanted to become a performer.
Back in Brazil, I trained hard, learned a bit of trapeze, and kept applying. Eventually, The House of Dancing Water offered me a shot. I had applied as a synchronised swimmer — but they didn’t need one. Instead, they asked:
“Would you consider being a flyer?”
The training for that acrobat video audition was brutal. I nearly got injured figuring it out alone. But I made it - and that job changed everything.
Years later I auditioned again now as synchro and as an acrobat for Le Rêve. The second time, the casting director said:
“Wow — you’ve improved so much.”
And finally, in 2018 I got into Cirque du Soleil. Even without a live audition, once you join, you still face physical assessments every six months. That’s when I realized how important structured training is — not just to get in, but to stay in.
Today, with my experience as a performer and certifications in personal training (NASM), yoga, Pilates, and behavioral coaching, I created Cirquenastics to give others what I wish I had:
